As political scientist, she is driven by her passion for inter\u00adna\u00adtional relations, European integration, and overcoming national stereo\u00adtypes. Her focus lies on sustainable democ\u00adra\u00adti\u00adzation and cultural and social exchange far beyond national borders.<\/p>\n

She has worked on European policy issues in the German Bundestag, at the European University Viadrina, and at the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP). As a speaker, moderator, and expert consultant, she is one of the leading experts on Poland and one of the most prominent political voices on German-Polish relations. Strength\u00adening the partnership and dialogue between the two countries is one of her core concerns.<\/p>\n

An experi\u00adenced team manager, she headed the Heinrich B\u00f6ll Foundation in Warsaw and is active on numerous boards, including the Foundation for German-Polish Cooper\u00adation (SdpZ), the Kreisau Foundation for European Under\u00adstanding, and the Kopernikus Group. She is also a member of the federal executive committee of the German-Polish Society (dpgb).<\/p>\n

Since 2021, Irene Hahn-Fuhr has been a member of the management board of the Center for Liberal Modernity, a non-profit and non-partisan think tank and debate platform in the field of political education and inter\u00adna\u00adtional cooperation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
