REGISTER HERE<\/a><\/div> [vc_\u200bcolumn_\u200btext css_animation=\u201cnone\u201d]With Russia\u2019s full-scale aggression against Ukraine approaching its sixth year, the Kremlin finds itself in an increas\u00adingly challenging situation, both on the battle\u00adfield and at home.\n

The Russian army\u2019s advances in south-east Ukraine have slowed sharply over the past year. Moscow is trying to compensate for this lack of success by inten\u00adsi\u00adfying drone and missile attacks on Ukraine\u2019s cities and infra\u00adstructure. The lack of missile defence leaves Ukraine increas\u00adingly vulnerable to these attacks. The country is facing an extremely harsh winter.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Kyiv is conducting mid- and long-range counter\u00adstrikes against energy infra\u00adstructure, economic and military targets across Russia. The war has finally come home to Russia.<\/p>\n

While Putin has so far managed to preserve domestic stability, he is facing increas\u00adingly negative economic trends. Large sections of the population can no longer ignore the impact of the war.<\/p>\n

Although there is no indication that regime collapse is imminent or indeed likely, tensions are becoming more visible. Ultra-nation\u00adalist hardliners are calling for a more aggressive war strategy, tougher domestic repression, and open confrontation with the West. Voices within the estab\u00adlishment express doubts that the war can be won. Yabloko\u2019s exclusion from the upcoming Duma elections shows that the Kremlin fears growing war weariness.<\/p>\n

The conference will focus on three major questions:<\/p>\n
