Russia\u2019s 2022 unlawful invasion of Ukraine changed global geopol\u00aditics. For the first time in the 21st century, a so-called great power has launched a full-scale war on its smaller neighbour, thus upending the post-Cold War order on both sides of the Atlantic. In a broad discussion, Prof. Paul Robert Magocsi will explore what the war has exposed about Ukraine\u2019s place in Europe, how it has shaped relations between Ukraine\u2019s many ethnic and linguistic groups, what blind spots in Europe\u2019s commem\u00ado\u00adrative culture became apparent through the war, and what the future may hold for Ukraine.<\/p>\n
