Armenia After the 2026 Parlia­mentary Elections: Russia’s Setback and the Prospects for Armenia’s European Path

The 2026 parlia­mentary election has granted Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan a renewed mandate while also highlighting the limits of Russian influence in Armenia. Never­theless, pro-Russian forces remain a signif­icant political factor and are likely to continue slowing reforms and the country’s rapprochement with the EU.
